The difficulty of having this sequence of elements that array around a point is that they splay in 2 directions. This makes slotting them together using a notch joint impossible as each notch joint is at a different angle because of the circular nature. As each element can only ever move in one direction - assuming the elements are made from a stiff material - we had to devise a method of slotting the components together. We established a male and female side to each circle and created a set of male and female notches. By removing the teeth of the female ribs we were able to twist the female members into position and then insert their teeth as bracing.
